The Palette · In Full

Five colours,
deliberately.

A curated palette, kept intentionally small — drawn from stone, weather and the Canadian landscape, so the work stays exceptional and the price stays fair.

Why Only Five

We could offer forty. We offer five — each one chosen to sit easily with stone, brick, timber and sky, and to hold its colour beautifully for decades.

A roof is the largest single surface of a house, and the one you live with longest. A restrained palette is not a limitation but a discipline — every finish is tuned to read as natural rather than manufactured, to flatter the materials around it, and to age with grace through decades of Canadian sun and snow. Below, each colour in full: its character, its undertone, and the houses it was made for.

No. I

Obsidian

The architect's black.

A near-black with a warm, mineral depth — never flat, never plastic. It sharpens a modern gable and lends gravity to an older stone house. In low winter light it reads almost charcoal; under summer sun the embossing catches and the whole roof comes alive.

No. II

Granite

Weathered slate, without the wait.

A cool, even charcoal that carries the quiet authority of an old slate roof. The most versatile colour in the range — equally at home on a coastal cottage and a city townhouse — and the one that disappears most gracefully into an overcast Canadian sky.

No. III

Burnished Umber

Bronze, earth and old timber.

A deep, warm brown shot through with bronze. The richest finish in the range, and the most flattering to natural materials — cedar siding, fieldstone, weathered log. It glows at golden hour and settles into a dark, dignified chocolate beneath cloud.

No. IV

Limestone

Light, cool and quietly reflective.

A soft silver-grey that lifts a house and keeps it cool. The most reflective colour we make — it turns away summer heat and lowers cooling costs, melts snow and ice in winter, and lends a clean, contemporary calm to white, glass and pale stone.

Maple Leaf finish detail
No. V

Maple Leaf

A heritage red, unmistakably Canadian.

A muted, earthen brick-red with the warmth of a barn at dusk — never garish. It is the boldest choice in the palette and the most rooted in this country's farmhouses and heritage homes. On white clapboard or grey stone, it reads as quietly confident as the day it was raised.

Why The Colour Lasts

Colour that holds for decades, not a few years

Every finish is built up in layers over hot-dipped galvanized steel: a corrosion-resistant primer, ceramic-pigmented colour coats, and a Kynar 500® PVDF fluoropolymer top layer that resists chalking and fading. The result is exceptional colour retention through decades of UV, freeze and thaw.
